AU PLOT

Danny is not accustomed to: Hawaii heat, spam on restaurant menus, pidgin English, and waking up with too much hair, less height, and distinctly different body parts. He's too goddamn tired to put much thought to it beyond 'really wacked-out dream' and so he grunts and shifts in order to clamber on top of Steve a little more, working half his torso -- what the fuck, how is he so short, how is there so little of him? -- on top of Steve and wrapping his arms around him to get more comfortable.

"Steve," Danny mutters, voice low but clearly a bit different. "If you freak when you wake up, I'm kneeing you in the balls." And after a year of waking up next to Steve, Danny's got a pretty good read on how to do it half-asleep.

"I didn't drop you, Danny, it was a joke," Steve says pointedly, refusing to back away or even concede so much in the way of breathing room. They're testing each other, the way they always do, trying to push the boundaries just enough for someone to break or give in. If he didn't know it was Danny by now, this is the defining sign.

"Again, not funny!" Danny shouts right back in his face, but there's just a degree of petulance in the mix. He lets out a huff of a breath and twirls the ring around his thumb once, twice, then three times, shifting his bare foot now to slide it up the inside of Steve's calf, fingers running down his arm and circling the tattoo.

"So, what, you want to get back at me now? Go right ahead," Steve replies. He's not as loud in the argument, but it's loud for him, his fingers creeping along the curve of Danny's hipbone as he tilts his head to look down at him from a different angle.

"Oh, fuck you, get inside the house," Danny says, half-furious, half-gleeful, and he's shoving at Steve to get him to go inside. "Feed the dog and go to the bedroom."

Steve ducks his head, but he does as he's told for once, bringing the beers inside and crouching down to let the puppy dive into his arms, picking him up to carry him into the kitchen while he gets his dinner ready. "You hungry? Yeah?"

Danny waits and watches for Steve, ducking behind some trees to change one more time -- out of the swimsuit, into the stockings and buttoning up the shirt, keeping it loose. He lingers at the back door, peering inside the house. "Are you in the bedroom yet?" he shouts.

"Almost," Steve calls back, before he's forced to set a wriggling Zulu down on the floor so he can eat his dinner, gently scratching him behind the ears before heading to the bedroom. He strips off his wet trunks and leaves them hanging to dry, slipping beneath the covers.

Danny takes just a small detour in the kitchen to scratch at Zulu's ears, still a pushover for the damn puppy even if he ends up being the strict parent. Danny pauses at the fridge to grab a bowl of strawberries and then heads up the stairs to the bedroom, not doing so much in the approach except for walking straight in and setting the bowl on the night table. "I would've suggested we do this on the beach, but sand everywhere? Not again."

"Do - oh," Steve says, and there it is right in front of him, Danny looking good enough to eat in those stockings with nothing else attached to them, and he reaches out to grab Danny's arm as he sets the bowl of fruit on the nightstand, tugging him down into the bed, his other hand snarling in Danny's hair as he pulls him on top, needing to feel every inch of him. "Get over here."

Danny adjusts and unbuttons the top button of the shirt so the collar hangs loose. He swings his legs over Steve's and settles half in his lap, reaching back for a strawberry and pressing it to his lips, sucking it back. Sure, they're half to try and arouse Steve, but also half because Danny's just hungry. He gets another and presses it to Steve's lips. "You've been such a good boy all day, resisting."

He raises an eyebrow, but opens his mouth for the strawberry, biting in just enough to keep it from falling out when Danny lets go, then through the whole way and chews, slowly, reaching up to pull the rest out that he can't eat. "You didn't exactly make it easy for me."

Danny disposes of the stem, leaning down to kiss away the red stain from off his lips, sliding his foot down over Steve's leg before sliding it back up. "What, when I mauled you in the gym? Or when our coworkers cockblocked us?"

"Mmm, all of the above," Steve groans, stretching underneath him and lifting his hips suggestively, watching as Danny briefly rises off the bed when he does so. "But you knew what you were doing."

"Did I?" Danny muses, almost unconsciously, sliding his knees over Steve's hips and straddling him just snugly enough to show him that no, Danny isn't wearing anything other than the stockings and shirt. He gets slightly snug, just resting there lightly. "What was I doing?" he asks again, feigning ignorance.

"Wearing these, for one," Steve starts, his hand settling on the outside of Danny's thigh and rising up over the stocking, finding the place where the hem starts and snapping it gently against his leg. "Bending over in that tight skirt to look through my files. Just a little further and you would've been putting on even more of a show for me."

"I was looking through your files!" Danny protests heatedly, because that one hadn't actually been a seduction technique. "You are paranoid! You are paranoid and insane," he swears, but lets out a shaky exhalation when the stocking gets snapped. "Baby," he sulks. "Am I that cruel to you?"

"I know it wasn't on purpose," Steve assures him, his hand sliding around and up beneath the shirt, along the curve of Danny's ass. "That's what made it hot, the fact that you were so unaware."

Danny shifts forward just slightly, trying to part his thighs and let some welcoming heat try and get Steve a little more undone. "So, you were saying, about clothes...?"

Steve barely holds back a groan and then decides to turn the tables a little, surging up and flipping them over, pressing Danny back into the bed as he pushes a quick kiss to his lips and then descends. His fingers go to the buttons on the shirt, undoing each one slowly, tonguing each new inch of skin as it appears.

Danny lets out a slow groan of surprise and delight, sucking his lower lip in past his teeth, letting his tongue roam over it as he watches Steve. "Hey, babe," he murmurs fondly. "What're you doin'?"

"What does it look like?" Steve says, nuzzling underneath Danny's navel. He slides down a little more, pulls one of Danny's legs up over his shoulder, kisses the inside of his thigh, slowly working his way inward, as he reaches up with straining fingers to grab another strawberry from the bowl.

Well, now, Danny understands most of this picture, but he doesn't understand the strawberry just yet. Still, his eyes are wide with interest as he watches Steve, a fond look on his face. "What are you doing?" he asks again, this time laughing.

Steve gives him a look, but he takes a bite of the strawberry, opening it up to its juiciest, and runs it along the inside of Danny's thigh, following quickly to lick the juice up with his tongue.

Danny, who had previously been sitting up to watch, collapses back against the bed at the sensation of Steve's mouth. He lets out a small little whimper, unable to keep it in as his hips rise off the bed. He reaches both hands above his head, grappling for the pillow as something to grab onto.

Steve tosses the stem back into the bowl and reaches for Danny's hips, pulling him back down again and holding him steady, forcing him still even as he nudges his way between his legs. It's not a blowjob, but he can give him the equivalent in the body he's got now, licking eagerly at him.
