Danny is so through with this whole island. Not only does it practically steal Steve out from under his nose what with the whole injury thing, but after Danny got him home and proceeded to show him just why he should be in good shape, then, then he left maybe one too many hickeys and Steve is exactly the kind of idiot who doesn't cover it up.

So now, now Kono knows. She has to know. She'd taken one long hard look at Steve's neck after Danny had slung his arm around his shoulders. And because Kono knows, well, then Chin does, and god knows that their extended family (which Danny is pretty sure makes up the whole island) knows, too.

He's steaming, still, and he's taken a break from the office to head to his place and just pace it out, running his hands through his hair as he tries to figure out if he's being freakishly paranoid, aware that maybe his poor reaction has done half the work. Now Kono is gonna tell people and the Governor will pull him off the task force and he's gonna have to leave the island and then how's he gonna see Gracie, huh? How?

Danny is, maybe, hinting that they should just have sex at Steve's house, but if Steve wants to be this defunct and thick about it, then Danny is just gonna have to take his time. He crawls into bed with Steve, kicking at the covers and uncapping the lube to slick it over his fingers, spreading his thighs so he can prepare himself. "It's not you I'm worried about when it comes to noise. You do things to me, McGarrett. Turn me into a howling girl."

"You're not bothering me," Steve replies, rolling over top of him and pressing down, holding one of the condoms between two fingers briefly as he leans in to kiss Danny. "And if you spent the night with me, you wouldn't have to worry about the volume level."

Danny leans into the kiss, wondering when Steve's gonna get it in his thick head that Danny, in his own way, has agreed to the night-spending with Steve. He's just not ever going to actually admit it. "Suppose there is all that privacy. But hey, I like this place," he stubbornly defends, rocking his hips down and letting out a low moan as he pushes two fingers into himself.

Steve's still got the condom in his hand but he sets it aside for now, more than willing to slick his own palm with the lube and work it around Danny's cock as his partner readies himself, stroking slowly. "It's not so bad, all things considered," he grits out, breath hitching slightly at the sight of Danny below him.

"Yeah, but it's not a home," Danny says, aware he's flipping back and forth. He flashes an infuriating smile Steve's way, practically daring him to get the picture already. "Hey," he breathes out. "Fuck me, will you, Superman?"

"Yeah," Steve mutters, snapping himself out of his Danny-induced reverie, and gets the condom out and on without wasting any more time, one hand bracing himself up above Danny as he settles between his legs, positioning with a shift of knees and then slowly pressing in.

Danny doesn't waste much time shifting so that the angle's not uncomfortable as fuck, sliding his free hand up Steve's insanely perfect chest, toying around the tattoos as he gives small sounds of content. "Okay," he gets out in a hitch. "M-maybe sex with you is worth getting kicked off the island."

"Too bad I'm not letting you leave," Steve groans, arms sliding underneath Danny's thighs and hitching them up slightly, spreading him wider, his hips maintaining the slow roll and grind movement.

Danny has never been quiet in bed and he doesn't foresee starting. He gets loud with his moans, can't help it when he starts barking out Steve's name, and practically starts shouting down the walls when he starts demanding Steve go harder, faster, and 'fuck, you Army idiot, yes!'

Steve doesn't even have the place of mind to tell him it's the Navy, which is just a clear indication of how very distracted he is right now, fingers splaying across Danny's jaw to tilt his face toward his, foreheads nudging together as he pumps his hips a little faster, risking the strength of the bed beneath them.

Danny closes his eyes and takes in a shaky breath as Steve presses their foreheads together, sliding his hand down his body to wrap around his dick and stroke in time with Steve fucking him, giving him white hot flashes in his vision. "Babe," he keens, in between loud gasps and grunts.

So maybe it's his fault they've been complained about.

It basically is, because while Steve does murmur his name every now and then, his vocal contributions during are limited to the occasional moan and chuckle, the latter of which he does now, lips dragging across Danny's temple as he turns his head slightly, drawing out the pace of his thrusts and ending with a sharp snap of his hips, making sure Danny can feel it every single time he moves inside him.

Holy shit, Danny's pretty sure that everytime Steve fucks him, he's going to just continue to lose his mind, this is ridiculous. Some of the panic is falling away, some of it staying (thoughts of how to tell Gracie and Rachel), but he lets out a moan and forgets the morning after as he comes at that sharp snap, barely even holding on.

"Steve," he murmurs, hand lazily falling off his dick, trying to steal sloppy kisses.

Seeing Danny come undone is enough, it always is, and it doesn't take more than a few more thrusts before Steve follows him over that edge, tensing and holding, his jaw clenching, before he releases all of the tension at once and trembles, barely managing to hold himself up over Danny, and by the end he doesn't even bother trying. Somehow, though, he manages to land next to him instead of directly on top, crushing him in his weight, and lays along his side, face buried against his neck as he breathes deeply.

Danny lets out shallow breaths, turning in order to press his lips to Steve's hair, his body shifting so he can drape his arm around his torso. His own hair is a godawful mess, the way it always gets after they have sex and despite rubbing a hand through it, he knows it's a disaster. "I gotta shower," he mumbles. "You coming?"

"Gimme a minute," Steve mutters, his body still experiencing that pleasant boneless sensation that always crops up after a moment like that, and then he turns his face up toward Danny's, kissing him gently. "Okay. I'll be right there."

Danny grins against the kiss, easing away and letting out a low wolf-whistle at Steve's body, because honestly, he is sometimes surprised girls aren't beating down the door to challenge Danny's right to Steve. "Hold on, I gotta grope you for a second." Which he does, lets his hands explore every muscle before he gets up, taking a sheet with him to drape around his waist.

Leaving Steve fully naked, which is also not a bad thing.

And so maybe Danny is already formulating plans in his head. Rewarding ways to show Steve why it's a good thing he said the thing he did. But that's for after the shower. He drapes the sheet on the counter and turns the faucet on, getting it close to scalding hot as he can before stepping in and scrubbing down.

Steve just lays there for a moment, listening to the sound of the shower start up and run, the trickling of hot water, and after counting to ten in his head, he gets up to clean up, shuffling down the hall to the bathroom and disposing of the condom in the trash.

The shower is small, but it's not space he worries about when he climbs in behind Danny, silently drawing the curtain open and then stepping in under the warm spray, pressing against his partner from the back and sliding his arms around his torso.

Danny gives a pleased sound when he gets joined, in the middle of scrubbing shampoo through his hair, the whole thing practically standing on end. "Hey, babe," Danny greets, casually, like they're not naked and showering, like they're just hanging out. He passes the bar of soap back, digging his fingers into his scalp.

Steve grins slowly and accepts the soap, one hand slicking fingers back through slightly dampened hair while the other runs the bar over his front, rinsing off the sweat of the afternoon. "Feeling better?" he asks, pressing an open-mouthed kiss to the back of Danny's neck.

"I am less inclined to explode in a fit of stressed confetti," Danny is forced to admit as he leans forward to let water run through his hair, taking away all the suds of shampoo. He turns, getting everything off his back and giving him a view of Steve at the same time. "Still paranoid. I mean, sure, you can control the Governor, but I know my ex-wife, Steven. And you are no match for her."

Steve sticks his head under the shower spray for a moment and then pulls back, blinking through water droplets clinging to his eyelashes. "I'll make a good impression over tea," he declares, flashing Danny a quick grin. "Besides, I think she already likes me."

Danny leans in to press a wet kiss to Steve's cheek, sliding down to his lips and getting the last of the soap and shampoo out before he yanks at the curtain. "So, is that your manly way of saying you're gonna come out for the both of us? Thanks, Steve," Danny plows on forward. "Knew I could count on you."

Steve just stands there for a minute, halfway to dumbstruck - which is a common response to feeling like he's just been blindsided by Danny, and that happens more often than he'd prefer. "Wait, what? No, Danny, no - I didn't say - "

"See, thing is, McGarrett," Danny says as he grabs the biggest towel he's got, drying his hair and his body at once. "I'm about to wear jeans out in public and probably a too-tight t-shirt. And I'm gonna leave my hair unstyled. You think that's something I do every day? No, it is not. It is for special you occasions, which means something needs to merit the occasion."
