Fuck him. He wakes up and Danny knows, instantly, that things, things are not right. No, they are so far from goddamn right that they're in terrifying wrong territory and holy shit, he ought to get out of there as fast as he can. He calms, though, only because he tries to remember what this feels like. Adrenaline, testosterone, panic.

It's like he's...well, it's like he's a teen again.

He leans over to shake Steve awake, hauling in long breaths to forcibly calm, but that's not helping. It's even worse when he leans over and looks at who he's sharing the bed with. "Holy shit," he gets out, gaping in slight horror when he sees what Steve looks like this morning.

Steve rolls over in bed slowly, unassumingly, unaware that anything seems to be wrong in the slightest, and when he opens his eyes, he's close enough to only see Danny's face, or a blur of it as he slowly blinks awake and his vision clears.

"Mmm, hey, babe," he murmurs, stretching slowly, his sleeveless shirt big and loose-fitting on a lankier frame, his arms bare and free of ink as a few strands of hair slip over in front of his eyes.

"What's wrong?" He sits up slowly, reaching up to push a hand through his hair - and then freezes.

God, he can't even help himself. The immature thought fleetingly crosses his mind and he's decided on it before he can wonder if it's a good idea. He reaches over and gives Steve's longer hair a firm tug, as if trying to determine whether it's real.

Steve frowns, reaching up to swat Danny's hand away, his fingers batting at Danny's wrist. "Ow."

His eyes widen with the revelation, and he immediately jumps up from the bed, albeit with a little less finesse, shuffling over to the mirror in sagging athletic shorts as he studies his own reflection.

"No, no, no."

Danny's out of bed not long after, swaggering slow and his fingers tucked in the loops of his pants as he comes up behind Steve and pokes him in the side. "No, no, no, what, huh?" he demands, accent pretty goddamn thick to his ears.

Steve almost groans, but that's before he gets a good look at Danny, strutting over to him with even more ridiculous hair than normal, his face clean-shaven, his muscles almost big enough - well, big enough to rival Steve's, on any normal day. "Who are you right now?" he murmurs softly, swaying under the force of Danny's prodding.

Danny wraps an arm around Steve's small waist, smirking when he flexes and old muscles he hasn't seen in ages respond. "Who am I right now? Me? I'm the guy big enough to pick you up, babe," he says with glee, leaning in to press a kiss to where a tattoo ought to be. "How old are you, huh, sweetheart?" he asks, softly.

"Dunno," Steve mumbles, looking down at the top of Danny's head - the height difference isn't as severe now, but he's still got the advantage in that department, and he lifts a hand to run fingers along the top of Danny's hair. "High school senior, at minimum."

The hair's darker, a little shorter-cut, but it still follows mostly the same pattern, even though it's standing up like a mess right now. "Okay, Steve, I have been wanting to do this for goddamn ever and now I can, so brace yourself," he says, giving Steve all the warning he's going to get before he crouches down and pulls Steve into a honeymoon carry, back to the bedroom.

"Danny, what - " Steve starts, but he can't eevn hope to get the rest out when Danny picks him up off his feet, hoisting him up into his arms without any difficulty whatsoever, and all Steve can do is make a small face and try not to flail around too much as he's literally carried back into the bedroom. "You've been waiting to do this forever, huh?" he mutters, waiting until he's set back down on his feet.

Danny keeps Steve in his arms as he sways him slightly back and forth. "How do you like it now, huh?" He flexes his back muscles, appreciating the strength in his body. "You're in my arms," he croons. "Helpless to me. I love it."

"You're ridiculous," Steve says, but somehow he can't make it sound as scolding as he wants, his voice somewhat softer and less authoritative at this particular age, and he reaches up to cup Danny's jaw in his palm, leaning in. "But, honestly - you look, uh, good. Like, really good."

Danny finally sets Steve down, shifting his shoulders back and grinning up at Steve. "Did I not tell you or did I tell you about how ripped I used to be, huh?" He flexes up a muscle. "Be honest, you so would've jumped me back then."

"Who says I wouldn't jump you now?" Steve answers. His voice may be quiet, but it's almost as deep as it is normally, and he glances up slowly, flicking some hair away from his face. "What, did you pump your weight in iron?"

Danny shrugs and strips off his t-shirt to show Steve the chest. "Pretty much, yeah," he confirms, rolling his shoulders back one more time. "You like it, huh? Should've known, seeing as you keep yourself in this condition most of the time."

"That was after I joined the Navy," Steve admits, the strap of his tank edging down over one shoulder. "I played football, but I was QB. I didn't need to bulk up like a lot of the linemen. I just had to be quick."

"Doesn't matter, you still look good enough to eat," Danny informs him with a soft moan, crawling onto the bed on all fours and settling into a straddle that isn't hindered by his bad knee, ripping the ill-fitting tank top off of Steve's frame and pinning him to the bed with a furious kiss.

To say Steve is overwhelmed is probably the biggest understatement of the century, let alone year; he practically shivers as Danny lowers him down against the bed, pinning him down with a straddle and a hungry kiss, and his fingertips settle along Danny's sides, feeling hard muscle underneath his hands when Danny moves as he arches up into his mouth, his body.

Danny has to shift slightly, not used to Steve being so lanky or his own frame being so bulky, but he inevitably settles Steve between his legs comfortably and runs a hand up his spine to kiss him, slow and careful and passionately, like he's the only thing in the world that matters.

Steve's not even approaching the urge to complain, not about any potential awkwardness or any maneuvering that has to ensue in order to work around a new fit, and he definitely doesn't mind Danny taking over in this instance, cupping his jaw in one hand and kissing him back once they find a rhythm that works.

Danny does this for a while, until he's rock-hard and it's straining against his boxers embarrassingly, which is something that also validates the whole 'teenager' thing. He bites down on his lip and stares at Steve, not sure he wants to be deflowering him so early in the day. "Did you go for swims, back when you looked like this?"

Steve looks up at him, face flushed, lips swollen and definitely hard to the point of embarrassment, but he just blinks for a second and tries to regain higher brain function before responding. "Uh, sometimes," he admits. "The team used to have rallies, before the games. Usually on the beach, with bonfires and stuff."

"I want to have sex with you," Danny promises, his voice a low growl as though his body is insisting they do the sex part now, "but maybe, let's just hold off on it, just for a little," he suggests, leaning down to wrap his hands around Steve's and haul him up into a sitting position.

Steve whimpers, literally almost whimpers at the sound of Danny's voice, low and promising, but he's already being hauled up and so he sits, trying with some difficulty to hide the raging hard-on in his shorts. "Okay," he replies, somewhat tentatively.

Danny looks down at Steve's crotch, then at his own, and lets out a small growl of frustration. "Or..." Without even asking for permission, he's shoved his hand down Steve's boxers, his other hand down his own, and he pushes them back onto the bed. "J-just, just for now," he gasps.

"Danny," Steve gasps, starting to shake his head, but it's too late, he's not strong enough to protest now, not when Danny's got a hand jammed inside his shorts, palm cupping his dick hard enough to make him shudder. "Thought you said we weren't - "
