It's the goddamn books.

They're hypnotizing. Danny only meant to read the cover on the back, but suddenly he's three books in, reading about the romantic tryst between yet another Navy SEAL and some woman who swore she'd never let a man of the military into her life. Seriously, it's so bad, but at the same time, there are things in the sex scenes that make Danny pause, tilt the book to the side, and question the validity of the SEALs' abilities.

He's in the middle of book three right now, swearing, swearing that after this one, he's just gonna go, he's gonna let it go.

Danny is feeling...what's the word for homicidal that he's supposed to use when he's not supposed to scare people by thinking that he's murder-happy? Stressed. Yeah, that's it. Danny Williams is feeling fucking stressed and he's done what his instincts have told him to do -- get thee to a baseball field. He's had to practically shout down Steve to tell him to back off for just a little and now he's got on a Navy t-shirt and a pair of sweats.

He doesn't feel right until he gets to the field and gets a baseball bat in hand, taking a few experimental swings until they start going a bit diagonal in their trajectory and okay, yes, so he admits maybe he's picturing beating up a thing he can't touch, but he'd really like to lay hands on the thing that has the stones to turn him into an eighteen year old girl.

God help him, at least he has previous experience between his three sisters, Rach, and Grace, but previous experience in this crap isn't supposed to make him feel better. It's not supposed to happen at all.
